Quarterback Michael Vick is certainly excited to get his top wide receiver DeSean Jackson into camp.
"It's great to have DeSean back. Moreso, DeSean is excited to be back which is good, he's ready; ready to comeback and help this football team win games," Vick said following Monday morning's practice.
Jackson was not present at Monday morning's practice, but it was reported over the weekend that he would end his holdout and arrive at Lehigh University. Jackson is in the final year of his rookie contract and is looking for a new deal.
Vick said that he talked to Jackson last night and said that the two-time Pro Bowler is in the right mindset for a great season.
"DeSean just needed some time to think and get himself together," Vick said. "I'll tell you what, it'll be a breakout season for him. He's going to be a phenomenal player in this league as he's always been."
Vick is not concerned with the timing that he and Jackson will have on the field. In addition, Vick said that he expects Jackson to be in good shape.
"He's been lifting weights," Vick said. "He's gotten a little stronger, so he may be a little faster."
