The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have signed rookie free agent wide receiver Cordario Calvin.
To make room, the team waived tight end John Nalbone and linebacker Terence Thomas. The 6-4, 220-pound Calvin amassed 142 receptions for 1,832 yards and 22 touchdowns in his two-year career at Belhaven University after transferring from the University of Louisiana-Monroe. He also played at Mississippi Delta Community College. A native of Greenville, Miss., Calvin was an all-state performer at Greenville-Weston High School in both football and basketball.
