Here is a rundown of the players who will not suit up for the Eagles today against the New York Jets:
CB Ronald Darby: The cornerback is out again with a hamstring injury suffered in Week 3 against Detroit. Good news is that Sidney Jones is active for the Eagles giving them five cornerbacks: Rasul Douglas, Craig James, Jones, Ryan Lewis, and Orlando Scandrick. How much Jones plays remains to be seen as he was questionable with a hamstring injury he suffered in Green Bay.
C/G Nate Herbig: The backup offensive linemen are tackle Andre Dillard, guard/tackle Matt Pryor, and tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai.
WR DeSean Jackson: The wide receiver will miss his third straight game with an abdominal injury suffered in the Week 2 game against Atlanta. Mack Hollins is in line to start on the outside opposite Alshon Jeffery.
DT Tim Jernigan: The defensive tackle is out indefinitely with a foot injury he suffered in the Week 2 game against Atlanta. Hassan Ridgeway will start alongside Fletcher Cox.
CB Avonte Maddox: Maddox is sidelined with the concussion and neck injuries that he suffered in Green Bay. Scandrick was brought back to man the nickel position in Maddox's absence.
DE Shareef Miller: The rookie has been inactive for all five games this season. Vinny Curry, Daeshon Hall, and Josh Sweat are the backup defensive ends.
QB Nate Sudfeld: A healthy scratch, Josh McCown is the backup quarterback.
The New York Jets declared quarterback Sam Darnold (illness) out on Friday but quarterback Luke Falk, who is making his second career start, will not have two starting offensive linemen to help protect him due to injury: left guard Kelechi Osemele and right tackle Brandon Shell. Defensively, the Jets will be without linebackers Jordan Jenkins and C.J. Mosley because of injury.
