Mayock Ranks The Top Five WRs In Draft

With the NFL Scouting Combine set to get underway next week in Indianapolis, let's start to take a peek at some of the rankings of the draft prospects at each position. Today, let's check out NFL Network draft expert Mike Mayock's top five players at the wide receiver position. The notes on each player were provided by NFL.com from their Combine section.

Mayock's Top 5 Wide Recievers
Name Height Weight College
1. A.J. Green 6-4
208
Georgia
Note: Green is one of the finest prospects in years. Has the ideal length, refined route-running skills, hands, and big-play ability to become one of the NFL's elite WRs.
2. Julio Jones 6-4
211
Alabama
Note: Jones has the prototypical build to become a No. 1 WR. A vertical threat due to his height, strength, leaping ability, and speed. Generates big plays after the catch.
3. Titus Young 5-11
175
Boise State
Note: Young possesses the makeup and run-after-the-catch ability of an NFL slot receiver who could also contribute in the return game.
4. Jonathan Baldwin 6-5
224
Pittsburgh
Note: Baldwin is giant WR that has the potential to develop into a starter at the next level. He is a speed builder that can get behind DBs and he quickly finds the ball.
5. Torrey Smith 6-0
202
Maryland
Note: Smith has big-play speed and enough size to develop into a starting NFL receiver who can stretch a defense. Shows great burst off the line.
